About Revolution

Revolution is a turn-based, web-based, multiplayer combat strategy simulation. The game itself is portable and anyone with a Windows computer and an "always on" internet connection can run their own server. The top scores on all servers will be compiled on this homepage and tournaments between different servers will be arranged.

We are also creating a development kit to allow any user to make their own map. While the basic rules of the game will stay the same, the map, graphics, and language files are customizable.

The game is still being developed but the basic functionality is available to anyone who wants to start playing the game.

    FYI

I did some simulations of battles in the revolutiongame.

3 rolls attacking 2 rolls ( 4+ armies vs. 2+ armies ): attacker will lose 46 armies for every 54 destroyed (on average)
2 rolls attacking 2 rolls ( 3 vs. 2+ ): attacker will lose 61 armies for every 39 destroyed (on average)
    3 rolls attacking 1 roll ( 4+ vs. 1 ): 65% chance of victory
    2 rolls attacking 1 roll ( 3 vs. 1 ) : 57% chance of victory
    1 roll attacking 1 roll ( 2 vs. 1 ) : 42% chance of victory

and if you are an idiot (or it is strategically essential to get the country)
    1 roll attacking 2 rolls ( 2 vs. 2+ ): 25% chance of victory

probability that Jarett would lose his 8 attacking 1 battle (which he did): 0.13% hehehe

(all percentages are +/-2% with 95% certainty, all forward looking statement are purely speculative, cheques will not be honoured)
